     Attorney Katchmer has strong roots in Central Pennsylvania having grown up in Millersville. Her father was a professor and coach at Millersville University. She raised her children in Lancaster County. Her eclectic work background has given her insight into and understanding of people and what is important to them. Through high school and college and before attending law school, she worked in retail stores, factories, as a prison guard, a youth care worker at a juvenile detention center, and as a Children and Youth caseworker. These experiences have provided her with an appreciation of what is important to each individual. 

     She is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Temple University with a Bachelors degree in Psychology. She graduated with Departmental Honors and was named a University President's Scholar. She is a member of Psi Chi, the National Honor Society of Psychology Students and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She also earned numerous letters in various varsity sports. She is a graduate of Temple University School of Law. 

     Attorney Katchmer previously served as a Special Divorce Master in Lancaster County and was a Court appointed Guardian Ad Litem for Children and Youth matters. She is a past recipient of the Lancaster County Bar Associations' Access to Justice Award. She is a past Chair of the YWCA's Sexual Assault Prevention and Counseling Center Committee and a past Board Member of the YWCA.

 

     Attorney Katchmer has spoken on topics of divorce and custody and an article that she authored on divorce appeared in Business Woman Magazine. 

 

Attorney Katchmer is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and

the United States District Court, Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
